Beaver Teeth Photo Tutorial

The teeth for your Liam's Beaver can be made any way you like; here's how I do it.  All you'll need is a darning needle and some white yarn.  (Real beaver teeth are yellow or orange, but I just couldn't bring myself to use one of those colors!)  Insert the needle just below the nose, and make a straight line about 1/2 inch long:

Starting at the top, pass your needle underneath the stationary piece of yarn, and begin wrapping the yarn around it:

Keep wrapping the yarn around the stationary piece until the whole thing is wrapped:

Then, make another 1/2 inch line just to the side of the first one, and wrap the yarn around it also:

Stick the needle up through the beaver's head:

And trim off the excess yarn:

If the teeth are too tight, they can be loosened by wiggling the needle around underneath:

  1. You need to figure out how to knit a fish...specifically some bass: Guadalupe Bass, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, etc.
