Bunny's Basket Photo Tutorial

Your bunny will love to have a little basket to carry his things around in.  After knitting it you may notice a couple of things:  There are small holes beneath the increase stitches on every fourth row.  They're easy to darn with just a stitch or two:

You'll also notice that the 3-stitch basket weave pattern is broken at the location of the increase stitches.  It will appear as six of the same stitch (knit or purl) instead of three.  That's OK, it doesn't really take away from the cute look of the basket:

When you're finished knitting the basket and it has been cast off, measure off about two yards of the working yarn before cutting.  With your yarn held double, work around the top edge of the basket using the whipstitch.  That simply means to insert your darning needle under the top edge, pull it through, and tighten the yarn.    

Keep your stitches fairly close together.  Continue working around the entire top edge using the whipstitch.  

This will create a real looking basket edge.
