My best friend died this past weekend. He had been sick for some time, but never complained, and in fact, the cancer was not even diagnosed until a few days before he passed. Somehow I can't bring myself to knit right now, that was something we always did together. Till then I'm just planting daffodil bulbs and watching the trees change color.
Good-bye Rudy!
I'm so sorry to hear this sad news. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI'm an animal lover and the hardest part of having a pet family is losing one of the family members. Each one is a precious and totally unique gift from God and when one leaves us a huge hole is carved out of our soul. I always pray we sill all meet up again in a much better place. I know your loss, its very hard and you have my deepest sympathies.
ReplyDeleteI just discovered your patterns on Ravelry, and have just now landed here, on your blog. And, I find this beautiful dog, Rudy! His picture just screams best friend! I am so sorry for your loss. I share the love for animals, and also knitting with a furry friend. My heart goes out to you. Hugs..... (KathyInIowa on Rav).
ReplyDeleteSara,
ReplyDeleteTears came to my eyes when I opened your blog, saw Rudy's picture and read your blog. My heart goes out to you. Be gentle to yourself. Take care, Wendy
Have you read the Rainbow Bridge? It's a page long. It gave me comfort many times.
I'm so so sorry.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear this. I can only imagine how sad that would be. I have two amazing dogs and I know it's going to be very hard when they go. I love the picture, he looks like he was a wonderful friend.
